PEER EDUCATOR: BERNICE
Oct 24, 2022 | Kujuwa Initiative
Bernice*, a young girl aged 13 from one of our project schools has now become one of our Peer Educators having received training through our school programme and our residential camp.
“Life skills training that I received at school during MHM weekly training and at the camp opened my eyes and boosted my self-esteem. Through that, I have mentored my fellow young girls hence creating hope for them”
— Bernice
Our training and support helped Bernice to develop confidence and self-esteem. As a result, her performance in school has improved and she now uses her new skills to train her peers during her free time.
Last week she took part in training her peers from grade four and five on building their decision-making skills. Bernice encouraged them to make good decisions to achieve their goals. She also insisted that as a peer educator they must be a leader, a friend, a teacher, and a role model urging them to all aspire to be one.
